In this article, we will discover how to change the version of your Minecraft Server!

Often, changing the version of your Minecraft Server can be tedious and involve many repetitive actions.

Using ServGo saves you time and requires just one button click to change your server version!

Login into our Wave control panel

Wave Panel Login Page

Choose which server you want to change the version.

Ensure that your server is not running. Stop the server if it is running.

Go to the "Startup" Page and locate the "Variables" section.

Change Minecraft Version

ServGo recommends specifying a version; otherwise, every one-click update will download the latest version of the server jar.

Upgrading versions without careful inspection might cause your server to become unstable or plugins not starting.

  • If you require a specific version, you may input it in this option, such as. 1.20.4.

  • If you wish to receive the latest version consistently, you can keep this option as latest.

Perform the Update

Next, go to the 'Settings' page and click 'Reinstall Server'.

Wait for the installation process to complete.

Go back to the Console Tab, start the server, and your server now should be running the correct version.

Done. Now you've learned how to change the version of your Minecraft Server.
